Luke O'Higgins, born in Galway (Ireland), was introduced to electronic music at the age of 12 and began Djing Hip-Hop, Reggae and Detroit Techno music. Music labels such as "Metalheadz, Dope Dragon and Full Cycle" caught his ear early on and soon experienced his first gigs at Jungle raves. Tamen began studying Drumming at a young age and this continues to influence his rolling-breaks heavy sound Drum as a dj. As a drummer he has collaborated with the Barcelona based Hip-Hop producer "Jabitat (Arepaz, Nosordo, Botanica de Hilbro)" on his live shows, has appeared on recordings of local groups such as "Panic Button (Reboot)" and appeared on a mixtape by "LEX Records" dj Buddy Peace "A Crew Called Self". Luke began Djing professionally as KILO in 2001 at "Jungle Fever" in Ireland at the age of 16. He then began promoting his own nights where he drew international djs such as "Miss Pink" from "Blackmarket Records" to Ireland and began djing regulary on local radios, house parties and raves. Janurary 2004 he djed alongside the well know dj Hype and moved to Barcelona Spain. He secured his first residency at Ravalbass in Zentraus and started djing locally and throughout Spain. Luke now named Tamen plays dj sets that take from the whole spectrum of Drum n Bass and Dubstep's sub-genres, from Experimental to Dancefloor in an impacting,rolling style that focuses on groove and progression capturing the energy of the dance.

Currently Tamen represents the independent Drum and Bass label "Subtle Audio Recordings" as an international Dj, SUBTLE AUDIO is an outlet for Drum and Bass in it's most expressive form. We aim to release music that will work your mind as hard as your feet - and both at the same time! Artist's on the roster include Breakage, Equinox, Fracture+Neptune, Fanu, Alpha Omega, ASC, Martsman, Sileni, Macc, Senses and Polska. Dj support from GOLDIE, BAILEY, MARYANNE HOBBS AND APEX TWIN!

Tamen is a member of the Drum and Bass group NuBe9 where he Djs and Promotes various parties and radio-shows, and is also one of the founders of the Barcelonian Drum and Bass/Dubstep Promotions Collective "SURCO". SURCO always works hard to bring forward thinking music while not forgetting the rich Junglist past in order to have the clubber leave with a sense of something more than just another sweaty night. In 2006 Tamen started the highly respected weekly "DEEP JUNGLE" party with Dj Egres to showcase the more atmospheric and mature sounds of Jungle-Drum and Bass in Barcelona. Since November'07 The "SURCO SESSIONS" have been held in La Nau every 2nd Saturday. The 'SURCO SESSIONS' have have attracted such talents as: Dj Martyn(DnB), Phace, Sabre, Mav, Equinox, Macc, Bizzy B alongside established national Djs. Surco is proud to have championed Dubstep music before any festival or club in Barcelona putting local Djs along with MARTYN and SCUBA.

Tamen continues to make his mark as a Drum 'n' Bass and Dubstep dj, has started his first productions, and is in the process of forming a live jazz/jungle group for the near-future.
